Our prestigious national law firm has an excellent opportunity for a highly
organized, detail-oriented Bankruptcy/Litigation Paralegal to work in our
Wilmington Delaware office. The qualified candidate will possess strong
communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently,
exercise initiative and judgment, manage multiple priorities and work in a
face-paced environment.
The selected individual will handle large volumes of work associated with
each matter, case or transaction, maintain docket calendar, attend various
Chapter 11 bankruptcy hearings, meetings of creditors and formation
meetings, prepare drafts of legal and other documents and correspondence
for attorney review; compile, analyze and summarize information and
coordinate efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel,
opposing legal counsel, other parties and outside vendors.
Bachelors degree and/or paralegal certificate and previous law firm
experience preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years of debtor and creditor
experience with a working knowledge of Concordance, LiveNote, Lexis and
Westlaw is required. Must have knowledge of state and federal court rules,
procedures and filing requirements and assist with the formatting and
filing of electronic court submissions in all State and Federal Courts in
Delaware. Overtime flexibility is required.
